25 Jan Growing coaching capability in a global pharmaceutical organisation
The challenge
A global pharmaceutical organisation had designed an internal programme to support new people leaders within its global team, complemented by peer coaching groups led by employees trained in coaching.
The organisation identified a need to strengthen group coaching capability and shift towards a more developmental coaching approach. This was critical to improving the effectiveness and sustainability of coaching, particularly given the scale of investment and the risk of coaching activity not translating into improved performance.
The solution
Fieri partnered with the organisation to train and upskill internal coaches through a structured ‘coach-the-coaches’ programme, combining a two-day bootcamp with action learning sets.
Following initial success, Fieri collaborated with the organisation to redesign the internal programme into a condensed, highly interactive format.
The programme was co-delivered globally in five languages, supported by aligned group coaching sessions and end-to-end programme management.
The results
- 23 internal coaches trained across in-person and virtual delivery (UK and US)
- Redesigned programme delivered to 1,000+ new people leaders over eight weeks
- Group coaching delivered to over 300 participants across five languages
- Consistent facilitator and content ratings of 4.5–5 out of 5
- Strong engagement, high attendance and positive feedback on interactive learning and peer connection
