GSK, is a global pharmaceutical and healthcare company headquartered in London, UK. It was founded in 2000 as a merger of Glaxo Welcome and SmithKline Beecham, two leading pharmaceutical companies at the time. GSK’s mission is to improve the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better, and live longer. The company’s portfolio includes prescription medicines, vaccines, and consumer healthcare products. It has a strong presence in over 150 countries and employs around 95,000 people worldwide. With a very clear global vision and strategy, GSK have been working with Fieri since 2016 to develop their people and drive continued organisational growth and performance to ensure they maintain their high performing teams. Working closely together, and with a deep understanding of GSK’s objectives and challenges, in 2021, Fieri began running Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeships with GSK’s high performing teams.

In 2021, GSK elected to provide Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship training to those in positions of Leadership. As an expert in leadership and development training, Fieri took on the challenge of developing high performing leaders that could lead high performing teams.

Delivering on GSK’s Objectives


  • Increase the skill level of the management team and those about to progress into managerial positions.
  • Increase organisational productivity through more confident and competent managers and leaders.
  • Increase employee engagement and retention through well-structured, focused and accredited training programmes.

The Level 3 Team Leader Apprentice is designed for junior management or those heading into higher level management positions. Fieri also provide a Level 5 Operational Manager apprenticeship for senior level managers.





Through Fieri’s embedded relationship with GSK, we worked together on a detailed Training Needs Analysis, that enabled us to DISCOVER and define the business objectives and programme deliverables. From our Discovery we DESIGNED an apprenticeship programme that would work around the work commitments of the GSK learners and support the current challenges leaders were dealing with. DELIVERY commenced in 2021 and lasted for 18 months, after which, learners were able to take their end point assessments.



3 Modules




The GSK apprentices have seen a marked shift in their ability to lead themselves through learning time management techniques. They have had been able to improve their leadership and delegation skill, allowing them to develop the people within the team. Many of the GSK Level 3 apprentices follow on to the Level 5 apprenticeship when they are promoted into senior management positions.
